Rick and I hung out in high school. After graduation, we went our separate ways. When he started coming to the reunions, we quickly reconnected, and it was amazing how many things we had in common. Besides other reunions, we saw each other when time permitted, especially at The Trails. Rick was a very funny guy and had a million stories. When told of his passing, I freely admit that I shed a few tears. He will be sorely missed by myself and many others.

As with Tom DIxon, Rick and I were in touch often over the last decade. He was a great host for visits to the D C area, altho it was like pulling teeth to get him to Annapolis, Baltimore or NYC.  During a group gathering in Yellow Springs, Doug Semler and I convinced Rick to take up guitar.  He did just that, with grear vigor.  Rick created quite a collection of guitars and studio equipment only to go before he could fully experience what he'd purchased. I was surprised when Rick didn't reply to my "51st anniversary of the Thirsty 13" text, and learned why about a week later.  Rick had a ton of stories about military in Saudi and music security work in Cleveland.  Entertaining to say they least !  RIP.

I am so sorry to hear about Rick. I always thought highly of him and his successful career in the USAF. He follows his father way too soon.

Wow.  We used to hang together in the 10 grade before I moved to Maryland.  I tryed to connect with him recently but didn't get a response.  For awhile we lived only a couple of miles apart when I lived Fairfax, VA.  Sorry to hear of his passing.

I had reconnected with Rick at one of our class reunions.  I had known him in high school but I had forgotten how intelligent and quick witted he was.  He was fun loving and we shared some adventures together.  On the quieter side, he was easy to talk to and we established a friendship over the years.  RIP, dear friend.  You will be greatly missed.
