Oh no! I used to be very close to Pete, but haven't kept in touch for the last couple of years. His sister (Kathy) and I were very close at one time, and Pete and I sang together in various church groups when we were young. I had no idea he was ill or was suffering from any chronic condition. This is a wakeup call to reach out and maintain contact with those we care about.

I sat next to Pete in the High School Band for 3 years and talked to him only a month ago.  One of the nicest people you would ever want to meet.  You will be missed my friend.  Go with god.

Pete was my first love. Many years have passed but the fun times and memories haven't faded. Your life was far too short, but I know God has welcomed you with open arms and the music has been blessed by your talent. Not many days go by without a thought, song, or emotion that stirs a memory. Rest in peace until we meet again. Thanks......

Pete and I were good friends from elementary school onward.  I lost touch with him shortly after we graduated and I moved to Florida. but I still remember his gentle good humor and the talks we had.  This is indeed a wakeup call to remind us all of the shortness and terrible fragility of life. RIP my old friend.
